

What Is a Remote I-9 Authorized Representative?
Federal law requires employers to complete Form I-9 for each employee hired in the United States. Employers may designate an Authorized Representative to complete Section 2 of Form I-9 on their behalf.

Our Remote I-9 Authorized Representative service allows employers to designate us to complete the Authorized Representative portion of Form I-9 through a live, remote process. This service is especially helpful for remote hires, multi-location employers, and businesses without internal HR staff.

How the Remote I-9 Process Works
Step 1 — Employer Requests Service
The employer schedules the Remote I-9 service and provides basic employee information.

Step 2 — Employee Completes Section 1
The employee completes and electronically signs Section 1 of Form I-9 prior to the appointment.

Step 3 — Live Remote Document Review
We meet with the employee via live video to review original identity documents.

Step 4 — Authorized Representative Completion
We complete and electronically sign Section 2 of Form I-9 as the employer’s Authorized Representative.

Step 5 — Employer Receives Confirmation
The completed Form I-9 is returned to the employer for secure record retention.
